Incarcerated Writers: We recognize the unique and powerful stories that come from within the prison system. By publishing these works, we aim to give a voice to those often unheard and facilitate a deeper understanding of their experiences.
-
Formerly Incarcerated Writers: Our support extends to individuals who have reentered society, providing them with opportunities to share their narratives and contribute to meaningful conversations about redemption, resilience, and hope.
-
Underrepresented Writers: We are dedicated to promoting diversity in literature by publishing writers from marginalized communities. We believe in the importance of representing a wide array of voices and experiences in the literary world.
Genres and Opportunities:
-
All Genres: We accept submissions across all genres, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, memoirs, and more. We are passionate about storytelling in all its forms and encourage writers to share their unique perspectives and creativity.
-
Screen Adaptations: Some of the stories we publish have the potential to be adapted for the big screen. We work closely with our production team to bring compelling narratives to life through film, providing writers with an opportunity to reach even wider audiences.

Martez & Makaila Brayboy

Martez Brayboy, in 2021 was granted the opportunity to spend the summer with his daughter for the first time ever! As he describes, it was such a beautiful moment in his life, he decided to write a children book which he dedicated to her. He did something amazing by giving her authorship at the age of 9 years old! She is now a published author! This children book is called"SUMMERTIME WITH DAD! Author: Makaila Brown Brayboy
Even though the mother is very important in the development of a child, the father is also just important with that development. When both parents are active in a child's life no matter the status of the parents the development of a child is that much stronger. I believe it is important that no matter the status of the relationship co-parenting is of the most importance.
Congrats to Martez & Makaila and support by clicking "SUMMERTIME WITH DAD!"
Legacy Works Enterprises support writers that is CHANGING THE NARRATIVE!

LAJ POSEY

Penname: Laj Posey is a tribute to my two sons, Anthony and Justis.
(coming out this summer with my first novel called “Catch Me: The Life Ruiner Serial Killer”. “Ruiner” is a colloquial expression employed by my character.) It’s a thriller and will have you off your seat.
SUMMARY
The protagonist is a serial killer named Jamal Stone, aka “Roc”, who was set up on a drug deal by one of his closest friends, Tanya Spencer. He served 10 years in prison due to this betrayal. Roc comes home after serving his time, and through a series of adventures locates Tanya, and avenges himself by killing her. Through this experience of chase and revenge, Roc becomes a vigilante exacting justice by killing people who have ruined other people’s lives. What drives Roc is the intriguing combination of a sense of justice and the thrill of violence. The FBI gets on the trail of “The Life Ruiner Serial Killer”, trying to put a stop to the murder spree. Even though a pattern emerges that this murderous spree is partly motivated by the wish to do good, Jamal plays a dangerous game. He has everything to lose but loves the thrill of trying to see if they can….. CATCH ME!
Laj Posey is also a published poet in Missive Letter, produced by NYU Gallatin. 4 poems called "The Writer", "The Picture", "An Everlasting Bond", and "Love Remembers" from the next book he plans on releasing called "Darkness Through the Lights"
